Description
The stream train Pendennis Castle built 1924, providing rides for visitors to the Didcot Railway Museum, Oxfordshire, England.
Built in 1923/1924 by Great Western Railways, the Pendennis Castle travelled on many of the UK rail routes and was proclaimed to be the most powerful passenger express locomotive in Britain. In 1977 it was sold to an Australia company where it ran until 1994. Ultimately it returned to the UK in 2000 where restoration was carried out at Didcot Railway Museum and can be seen working to this day.
