Description
Invermoriston Falls are a pretty series of rapids and waterfalls as the river tumbles haphazardly across bands of rock on towards nearby Loch Ness.
Situated near Invermoriston, Scotland, UK one can also see Invermoriston Bridge, a feat of engineering by the well know engineer Thomas Telford. It was initially started in 1805 but took eight years to complete. It consists of two stone arches, straddling the two channels either side of a large rock 'island' in the middle of the channel. The bridge was part of the main road between Drumnadrochit and Fort Augustus, until it was replaced in the 1930’s with a new bridge
